New Baltimore Fire DIstrict Proposed 2015 Budget

The New Baltimore Fire District will hold it's 2015 proposed budget meeting on Tuesday 10/21/2014 at the Gill road station beginning at 7pm.

 
Greene County Firemens Convention
Saturday, September 6, 2014

On September 6th and 7th Cornell Hook & Ladder Fire Company participated in both the Madri Gras and Dress Parades held by the Hunter Fire Company. We had fun at the Madri Gras parade dress as firefighting Minions and on Saturday were pround of all of members for winning three trophies:   Fire Co. got third-place firematic colorguard,& best overall drum line second-place. the women got best appearing auxiliary 11 and over!! We want to thank Hunter Fire Company for all the hard work to put on the convention. 


 
   
   
2014 Auxiliary Luncheon

14 members of the Auxiliary attended our annual Luncheon held at The Boathouse Grille, Shady Harbor Marina in New Baltimore. 


 
Block Dance
   
Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Cornell Hook & Ladder Fire Company and Coeymans Fire Company are hosting a block dance it benefit Team Kamryn. The dance will be held on August 23rd and take place at New Baltimore's fire station on Gill Road. Entrance fee will be a donation only. Refreshments will be available. The dance will start at 7PM. Entertainment will be DJ Kyle. For more information call 339-4916.


 
2014 Hudson Valley Volunteer firemens Parade

On June 20th and June 21st we participated in the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemens Parade in West Glens Falls. We brought home three trophies, 2nd place for best appearing fire company, 2nd place for best appearing Auxiliary and 2nd place for non-firematic at the Madri Gras parade.


 
   
   
New Baltimore Agfest May 31 -June 1st

The New Baltimore Agfest was held the weekend of May 31. This years event was attended by a large crowd over the two beautiful sunny days.

 
New Baltimore Fire District resonded to a working fire at Serta Mattress.

New Baltimore Fire responded to an automatic alarm at the Serta mattress warehouse located on Houghtaling road. Dispatcher from Greene County advised a 2nd call with a confirmed working fire within a minute of initial call. Arriving units had a heavy smoke condition with flames visible from the roof. As initial fire attack was being made the sprinkler system activated and assisted with extinguishment. New Baltimore Fire was assisted by Coeymans, Coxsackie, and Fast Team members from Coeymans Hollow and Medway.

New Baltimore Fire responds to Working House Fire

New Baltimore fire along with mutual aid companies responded to a working house fire on route 144. The first arriving officers had flames visible on the 1st and 2nd floor of the older farm house. Water supply was limited with no ponds or hydrants so a shuttle was set up for water supply to the scene. New Baltimore was assisted by Coeymans fire (Medway and  fast team members from Coeymans Hollow and Medway. Coxsackie and Selkirk were on standby during the call.

CH&L Annual Kids Holiday Party

The Cornell Hook and Ladder Fire Company and Auxiliary will hold its annual Kids Holiday party on December 15th from 1 to 3 pm. Ages are 0 to 10 and must live in the fire district. Come try the crafts and dance to a DJ dance party prior to SANTA's arrival at 2pm.


 
   
   
New Baltimore Fire Responds to Heavily Involved Structure Deans Mill Road

New Baltimore Fire District responded to a reported daytime structure fire at the intersection of Deans Mill Road and West Deans Mill Road. Arriving units were comfronted with heavy fire blowing out of windows on the first and second floor. Arriving members were faced with heavy fire, limited water and the unknown if anyone was inside. With no hydrants a 5" line was run 1200 feet to the hannacroix creek. NB was assisted by Coeymans, Coxsackie, Medway and Fast Team members from Coeymans Hollow and Medway.
