4th Annual Golf Outing

The Cornell Hook and Ladder Fire Company will hold its 4th annual golf outing at Sycamore Golf Course on Aug 22nd 2010. Teams meet at 11am for a noon shotgun start. If you are interested in golfing contact John Wallace @ 518-928-7713. See Last years fun below.

On Monday 5/31 at 9:43pm New Baltimore Fire was called for a serious pickup vs tractor trailer accident. initial arriving members requested the helicopter be put on standby. 1st arriving officers requested a helicopter launch due to extended extrication time. A second Greene County medic was requested along with a standby crew from Coxsackie Hose 3. Lifenet landed as the driver was extricated and Ravena Rescue transported to the helicopter. The Coeymans Fire Company stood by during the call.

New Baltimore Fire District responded to a serious Tractor Trailer vs Car AA on 5/22. 1st arriving car 209 reported a tractor trailer (Oxygen) vs car roll over through the center median. While en route Coeymans Fire was put on standby due to limited holiday staffing. Once on the scene 209 responded Coeymans to the scene with Coxsackie Hose 3 on standby. Coeymans fire assisted in the extrication for the tractor trailer driver. Two patients from the van and one from the tractor trailer were transported using Ravena Rescue, Coxsackie Rescue and Greene County Medics. NYS Thruway staff and NYS Police worked with command to keep the scene safe and open the road in a timely manner.

On Friday January 29Th in single digit temperatures New Baltimore Fire and Rescue was called to a reported accident with minor injuries at 127.5 on the NYS Thruway. First arriving units found a 2 vehicle, car vs van accident with multiple patients. 3 Pt's were transported using Ravena and Coxsackie rescue. 1 RMA was also taken on the scene.

On Thursday January 28, 2010 at approximately 8:50am New Baltimore Fire/Ems was dispatched to a one car roll over with minor injuries. Upon arrival two patients were found out of the vehicle and were transported by Ravena Rescue to the hospital.  The small snow squall continued and made the roadway very slippery. After the crew returned to quarters they were dispatched 10 minutes later to the same location for multiple accidents and to assist the police with traffic control.


 
   
   
Mutual Aid Ice Rescue Drill in Earlton

Earlton fire department held and Ice Rescue drill on 1/23/2010. The drill was sponsored by Earlton and run by New Baltimore  Asst Chief Joe Firstiun. Members from Earlton, Medway and New Baltimore participated in the drill to further their skills for performing an ice rescue. Members worked together to train on proper ice suit use, proper retrieval of a person who broke through the ice, and Ice rescue safety. Many thanks to Earlton for sponsoring the event.
