CH&L Ladies Auxiliary Take-Out Fish Fry Feb. 19th and 26th
CH&L Auxiliary will be having a Take-Out Fish Fry dinner on Feb. 19th and 26th at Station 1 on Gill Rd from 4pm -7pm. Each meal will cost $8 and comes with fish fry on a roll, french fries & cole slaw...chicken tenders are available too. To reserve a meal call 756-8312(or on those dates call 756-8222) Delivery available within a 2 mile radius.

On Friday January 29Th in single digit temperatures New Baltimore Fire and Rescue was called to a reported accident with minor injuries at 127.5 on the NYS Thruway. First arriving units found a 2 vehicle, car vs van accident with multiple patients. 3 Pt's were transported using Ravena and Coxsackie rescue. 1 RMA was also taken on the scene.

On Thursday January 28, 2010 at approximately 8:50am New Baltimore Fire/Ems was dispatched to a one car roll over with minor injuries. Upon arrival two patients were found out of the vehicle and were transported by Ravena Rescue to the hospital.  The small snow squall continued and made the roadway very slippery. After the crew returned to quarters they were dispatched 10 minutes later to the same location for multiple accidents and to assist the police with traffic control.


 
   
   
Mutual Aid Ice Rescue Drill in Earlton

Earlton fire department held and Ice Rescue drill on 1/23/2010. The drill was sponsored by Earlton and run by New Baltimore  Asst Chief Joe Firstiun. Members from Earlton, Medway and New Baltimore participated in the drill to further their skills for performing an ice rescue. Members worked together to train on proper ice suit use, proper retrieval of a person who broke through the ice, and Ice rescue safety. Many thanks to Earlton for sponsoring the event.

1-12-10 Structure Fire - Fire in the floor

At about five o'clock pm on Tuesday the 12th, New Baltimore Fire and Rescue were toned out to a possible structure fire on West Deans Mill Road. ETA-203 arrived on the scene first to a fire in the floor in one room of the residence. ETA-204 and Rescue-202 arrived shortly after. The fire was quickly extinguished and the floor was cut to put out any other fire and remove insulation from further burning. Although the fire was out fairly quickly there was a decent amount of smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. Red Cross was called for assistance to the residents for where to temporarily stay.

9.11.09 Pick-up Rollover - NYS Thruway

On September 11th, New Baltimore Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the NYS Thruway for a one car PIAA Rollover. First arriving units found a small pick-up truck rolled over but back upright and two passengers with minor injuries walking around.

New Baltimore Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a one car PIAA rollover on the NYS-Thruway, near the southbound entrance. Upon arrival two patients were found outside of the vehicle on the side of the road with non-life threatening injuries. After examining the cars skid marks, we could see that the car swerved across both lanes into the grass, went up the hill, over the guard rail and flipped over the southbound entrance finally landing upside down on the other side of the road.


 
   
   
3rd Annual Golf Outing

The Cornell Hook and Ladder Fire Company held its 3rd annual golf outing at Sycamore Golf Course on Aug 23rd 2009. 22 teams braved the early morning rain and by the 11am start the weather turned nice. Thanks go out to all sponsors of this years tournament. A special Thank You goes to Village Dodge for the hole in one prizes (especially the vehicle). A great time was had by all. More to follow soon.
